Randomness

  • Grant still sleeps. Glad I didn't curse it.
  • I am never going to lose the baby weight with all this great, delicious and wonderful food you ladies are bringing me. Oh, my goodness! It's like Christmas every day! I love it. I am so blessed by all you sweet ladies.
  • I need all the recipes. Really. Post them or something.
  • Why do we never have the right size battery?
  • I am ready for a cold front. I am not complaining about the current weather because it has been nice, but I am just ready for that first cold spell where you must rush to the grocery store for chili ingredients. Aaaahhh...can't wait.
  • My birthday is on Monday. I am going to be 26. Why does that seem soooo old? I know it's really not, but it just seems so much older than 25...
  • I am officially a coffee drinker. I stopped while I was pregnant, but now, I am a coffee drinker for sure. Yummmm
  • I still don't have a long term sub. THat means that every couple of days a new teacher is coming into my classroom. I am trying really hard not to stress about it, but it's scary. Plus, I know there are so many people doing stuff for me when they already have a million things to do. It's a horrible feeling. I hate knowing that I am causing people more work. Please pray that some wonderful soul will take my classroom.
  • Do any of you ever hate your hair with a passion? I currently hate my hair. Hate it. But I don't know how to solve the problem. If I cut it, it actually takes more work to fix it. Bleh. I am just not good at being a girl.
I guess that's it. I need to post something good soon...

More pictures.

These are just more sleeping pictures but they are just so sweet...I love his sweet little hands...and lips...and everything...

Sleeping Baby

He sleeps.

A lot.

I am not complaining. Let me repeat, I am not complaining.

I am worried. Mason did two things as a baby - ate and cried. No, that's wrong. He pooped and hiccuped too, but he never slept. And if, by some miracle, he did sleep he was in someone's arms, or rigged in a baby burrito with roaring white noise suffocating all silence. He never slept.

Grant sleeps. He sleeps on his tummy while I am folding laundry. He sleeps in his swing, when it's off, he sleeps while Mason bangs toys on our hard wood floors. He sleeps and sleeps and sleeps.

Again, I repeat, I am not complaining. I am actually scared to post this for fear that I will somehow break this magical spell.

But my concern with all this sleeping is that he is not eating quite enough. When he nurses, he nurses on the first side for, at most, 10 minutes. This is followed by me burping him and trying desperately to wake him. Then I practically forcefeed him the other side while he sleeps in my arms. I am not overly concerned. He appears to be growing and when he is awake is very alert and squirmy and kicky. So I think he is fine.

But he sleeps guys. He sleeps a lot. I don't know quite what to do with this.

Oh, and last night. He slept in his bed. He did wake up about four times, but ate, pooped and returned to slumberland.

Maybe I just forgot how much they sleep. But I just hope he's okay.

I am really scared to post this. Like I may curse it or something.

Quick Prayer:

Thank you Jesus for this sweet sleeping baby. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

P.S. After looking at the pictures of Grant's double chin, I think he is eating more than enough. If the double chin or rolls go away, then maybe I can worry...

Geema has left the building

She's gone.

I'm all on my own.

It's eerily quiet.

Mason is at school(the child needs a routine at least two days a week and I am still paying the bill so...)

Grant is, get this, asleep, in his crib. And get this! He fell asleep without nursing.

But she is gone. It may get a little hairy around these parts mighty quick.

I can manage 32 6th graders in one 20 x30 room, but can I handle two wilde boys?

Only time will tell...

The Blue Recliner

I feel the need to post this since guests might be coming. I want to explain. It is really rather silly.

I have one room in my house that is, to me, the most put together. Things coordinate and match and go well. That room is the living room.

Well, what doesn't match is the blue recliner. It had been in Grant's room for the last several months. When he was born, there was some dispute as to where it should go. Troy has always and will always want it in the living room. "But it's blue..." I always whine. But there really wasn't an option and the blue recliner was just sitting in Grant's room which was also irritating me.

So I suggested that while mom and Don were here it be placed in the living room. Extra seating you see.

Well, guess who has somehow found her way into the repulsive blue recliner more than anyone?

Me.

Yep, nursing me. It is quite comfy in all its blue faded upholstery.

So, when, if you guys come over, please note the blue recliner and why it has been placed in a very odd position in my very red living room.

My postpartum hiney likes it. It might be there for a while...

It could be worse - I don't have bright orange carpet... :)

sweet feet

sweet!

I don't know why this is a link looking thing and why it links to who knows what, but I don't have the time or patience to figure it out. here are some more pictures minus the cute captions I had planned on writing.

Grrr....okay...great now it works. Oh, well. enjoy the pictures! :) (and it underlines again. Stupid computers...)
